My name is Mat Herold. I have a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and I am a strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer, and nutrition consultant to athletes from around the world.While I love working with high level athletes and helping them recover from injuries, get faster, or create the ideal physique for their sport, I am also incredibly passionate about the general population’s fitness and wellness goals. Over the years I have coached at the collegiate level and I have worked with athletes from Strikeforce (mixed martial arts), the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLS. The same attention to detail and enthusiasm I have when I am working with them, I promise to bring to each session with you as well. It is my belief that training should be fun, and always stimulate the body and the mind simultaneously. The goal is a physically and mentally tougher and fitter human being built for show, built for go, and and built to last.

My Story

During my college athletic days I loved being outside for sports practice but dreaded going into the weight room. After years of injuries, sub-par athleticism, and frustration with my performance, I started getting serious about my strength and conditioning. I was amazed at how important aligning my body and developing strength and power using resistance training was for my success as an athlete. My body changed as I lost fat and gained muscle, and my tendency to be injury prone became a thing of the past. The physical culture is now a great passion of mine, and it is my goal to share the benefits of athletic style fitness and training with you.
